Building Resilient and Sustainable Communities: A Vision for the Future Through Higher Education
In a world grappling with rapid urbanization and environmental challenges, the role of higher education in fostering sustainable communities has never been more critical.
Meghna Tare, Chief Sustainability Officer at University of Texas at Arlington will highlight the transformative power of academic institutions to drive sustainability through research, innovation, and education. She will discuss the importance of cross-sector collaboration and community partnerships in addressing pressing challenges, and present how universities and colleges can serve as catalysts for building resilient, inclusive, and environmentally conscious communities. Her keynote will challenge attendees to reimagine the role of academia as both a hub of innovation and a partner in fostering sustainable communities for all.
